Notice of Application and Public Hearing - CUP 16-01

The City of Ruston will hold a public hearing before the Hearing Examiner on June 10, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, on a Conditional Use Permit and Variance application submitted by Lawrence and Elvira Upton, which proposes to construct an accessory dwelling unit at 5428 North 49th Street which exceeds the City’s maximum height limit for accessory structures, but is within the overall maximum height limit for the Residential (RES) Zone.

The public hearing will be held at the Ruston Community Center located at 5219 North Shirley Street, Ruston, WA 98407.  All members of the public may provide testimony on the proposal during the public hearing or you may submit written comments prior to the public hearing.  If you would like to view a copy of the application materials, including the proposed site plan, you will find them on line at www.rustonwa.org in the public notice section of the City’s website for application number “CUP 16-01” or by clicking the link for the Hearing Examiner Meeting of June 10, 2016.

Public comments or questions may be submitted in writing to Rob White, Planning Director by e-mail at robw@rustonwa.org, or by mail at 5117 North Winnifred, Ruston, WA 98407, up until the time of the close of the public hearing.  Verbal testimony will be accepted at the public hearing.
